Dan began coming to Alta to ski on a regular basis in 1994. He was so taken with the quality of the skiing and the beauty of the Alta area that he has since returned at least two or three times each ski season.
Raised in western Kansas, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kansas in 1959. After receiving his Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Texas in 1965, Dan practiced law since that time with three firms in Dallas, Texas and Chicago, Illinois. For substantially all of his legal career, he has specialized in the commercial real estate area.
Dan and his wife, Pat, live in Carbondale, Colorado and Fort Worth, Texas.
They have three children and seven grandchildren.
His outdoor activities include biking, hiking and skiing.
Dan has a deep belief in the necessity of protecting the pristine and environmentally sensitive nature of the Albion Basin.
