We are very excited to welcome our Summer Bill Levitt Fellow: Ellie Johnson. She recently graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Environmental Studies and a minor in Communications. She is a lifelong skier and has also worked for the USGS Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center as a field technician studying native and nonnative fish populations. We are so happy to have her on board and looking forward to a summer of stewardship in Albion Basin and Alta. Ellie has a busy summer ahead of her with the responsibilities listed below.
> Representing FOA at summer stewardship events including: Wasatch Wildflower Festival, trail and restoration work, invasive weed pulls, and tree planting programs
> Alta Naturalist Hosting (Friday’s) at the Albion Grill
> Invasive Weed Removal
> Vegetation Survey’s in coordination with Bird Surveys
> USFS Forest Assessment
> Assist with the FOA Conservation Easement Monitoring Program as needed
