We are very excited to welcome our Summer 2016 Bill Levitt Fellow: Shelby Sly. She will be entering her final undergraduate year at the University of Utah this fall pursuing a degree in Environmental and Sustainability Studies and Geography. Born and raised in Park City, she is a Utah native passionate about the health and longevity of the Wasatch and its ecosystems.
She will be representing FOA at summer stewardship events such as: LCC Cleanup, Town of Alta Restoration Day, Wasatch Wildflower Festival, Memorial Tree and Seedling planting, and SLC farmers markets. In addition, she’ll be working on vegetation and invasive weed surveys, the Alta Bird Study, and the Alta Kids Activity Book, assisting with the Conservation Easement Monitoring Program, and serving as the Friday Alta Summer Host at the Albion Base. We are pleased to have her on board and are looking forward to a busy summer of conservation and stewardship in this beautiful canyon.
