August 2009 Land and Water Symposium Review

Friends of Alta hosted a Land and Water Symposium in Alta as a kickoff to the 2009 Salt Lake Countywide Watershed Symposium on August 26th and 27th at the Salt Lake County Cultural Center.  This event was an engaging occasion that brought together water quality professionals, acedemics, environmental advocates, landowners and the interested public to discuss land and water conservation and development in and around the Salt Lake Valley.

Dinner was catered by Alta's Shallow Shaft restaurant using many local and organic foods.
