This summer Friends of Alta is hosting a Land and Water Symposium in Alta as a kickoff to the 2009 Salt Lake Countywide Watershed Symposium on August 26th and 27th 2009.  FOA's appetizer event offers afternoon panel discussions focused on land and water related topics including question and answer sessions, keynote speaker Bob Abbey (new BLM Director) and other key government officials. A tasty dinner will be provided by Just me Catering.

We hope to put forth an engaging occasion for water quality professionals, acedemics, environmental advocates, landowners and the interested public to discuss land and water conservation and development in and around the Salt lake Valley.
