Friends of Alta is an integral part of Alta's community. Our perspective of the community in Alta includes its residents, visitors, its natural environment including flora and fauna, businesses, volunteer organizations, and local, state, and federal government. Friends of Alta allocates resources towards a better understanding and protection of Alta's natural environment. We have provided assistance to volunteer organizations such as the Alta Arts Council (ACE), the Alta Historical Society, and the Friends of the Utah Avalanche Center. The Town of Alta has municipal programs such as the Summer Booth Program, Recycling Program, and the Town's Geographic Information Systems Program that provide benefits to the Alta community; Friends of Alta has provided assistance to the Town for these programs. |
