Jen Clancy began working with Friends of Alta in 2005. Her favorite part of the job is the one week each summer when she spends time mucking around the Albion Basin wetlands as part of the Phased Hydrologic Investigations of Albion Basin. Jen grew up on a lake in the small town of Freedom, NH where she was particularly fond of amphibians and small mammals. To this day, one of her favorite pastimes is skirting the water’s edge looking for signs of life. Jen earned a B.S. in Wildlife Management from the University of New Hampshire and then moved to Utah in 2002 for the “powder” skiing. When not in the office Jen can be found skiing, running, or in her kitchen.

Katie graduated from Westminster College with a degree in Environmental Science in 2014. Shortly after, she started working with Friends of Alta as the Bill Levitt Fellow and is now returning in 2017 as the Communications Manager. Growing up in Utah, she has been exploring Little Cottonwood Canyon for as long as she can remember. She credits this for cultivating her love and passion for conservation. Katie is extremely excited to be back at Friends of Alta helping to protect the environment of Alta!
