As a non-profit organization, Friends of Alta depends on your contributions to carry out its Mission of preserving Albion Basin for future generations. With your participation we will continue to maintain our conservation easements as open space and purchase additional lands in Albion Basin for watershed protection and wildlife habitat. Friends of Alta also strongly believes in our ability to protect the Little Cottonwood Canyon Watershed through financial help to the Town of Alta when protective zoning regulations are in need of defense. Utah's growing population and extensive marketing efforts will continue to bring development pressures to valuable watershed areas which the Salt Lake Valley greatly depends on for its culinary water supply (15 - 20% of Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities culinary water supply comes from Little Cottonwood Canyon).

As a contributor to Friends of Alta, you can help alleviate these pressures through long term protection in the form of conservation easements. You will also be an advocate for scenic views, land conservation, flora, fauna, the next generation, and Alta's diverse community. We would like to thank everyone who has already made a contribution to our Mission in 2008, and for those who haven't we would like to encourage you to consider making a contribution.

Friends of Alta is incorporated under 501(c)(3) of the
Internal Revenue Code.
Contributions are 100% tax deductible.
