Josh Middleton

Joshua Middleton is the founder and managing principal of Halcyon Consulting, an advisory group focused on private investment firms. Prior to founding Halcyon Consulting, Mr. Middleton worked at Citadel Investment Group, The Citco Group Limited, and Credit Suisse, AG. Mr. Middleton graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

Mr. Middleton grew up in North Carolina and began skiing when he was five years old on a small ski mountain in West Virginia. His father taught him to ski, and even though it was very cold and the conditions were rather "firm," he was completely hooked. Thus began a lifelong infatuation with mountains and snow. He has since travelled across the world on many skiing and mountaineering adventures; this time spent in the mountains has infused an appreciation for the sublime beauty of alpine environments and amplified the conviction that they should be actively protected as providing incalculable value to mankind. He dearly loves Alta in all seasons and is privileged to call it his home mountain. Mr. Middleton is thrilled to join the Friends of Alta board and looks forward to contributing his deep financial and leadership experience to help preserve Alta's exceptional environment, heritage, and character for future generations.
