Created to appeal to and to inform kids of all ages, Friends of Alta is proud to announce the new Alta Junior R
anger Activity Book. The Alta Junior Ranger Activity Book is a fun-filled guide designed to help families explore, learn and protect Alta, one of Utah’s premiere Wasatch Mountain destinations. The book covers topics ranging from geology, to wildlife, and environmental stewardship using kid-friendly puzzles and games. Participants may submit their completed activity book certificates by mail to Friends of Alta or by email at info@friendsofalta.com and earn an Alta Junior Ranger badge.
Alta Junior Ranger kits are now available at: Online (www.friendsofalta.org/juniorrangerprogram), Alta Environment Center (at the summer road fee booth, the camp store in the Albion Basin, or the skier services at the Wildcat Base), or at Friends of Alta offices during office hours. Books will be available for in person pickup towards the end of June.
“We believe that it is critically important to the future preservation of Alta and Little Cottonwood Canyon that we educate today’s youth on the need to protect and preserve this special place before they grow up to become tomorrow’s leaders,” said Kody Fox, Executive Director of Friends of Alta. “Fostering a love of Alta and an understanding of its importance and need for protection is essential to the continued preservation of this wonderful, unique, and fragile place.”
